John Frank Green

John Frank Green was killed by Indians near Helotes where he lived with his family. His wife was Augusta(e) Specht and they had three children. After his death his widow married a Robert Robinson. They had a daughter. After he died Augusta married Julius Ballscheit. As far as Barbara can find, they had no children.

They lived married until they both died and are buried side by side in the cemetery. But as you can see in the cemetery photo Augusta has the marker for her first husband, John Frank Green, placed behind and between them. She must have loved him very much. There is no marker for Robert Robinson in this cemetery.

John Frank Green was born in Germany and his birth name was Johann Frank Gruen.
