Roe Buck Daughtry

"Buck" Daughtry, age 83 of Charlotte, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010, in Jourdanton, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Ollie Louise (Orsak) Daughtry and sons, Marcus Wayne Daughtry and wife Danna R. and Buddy Lee Daughtry and wife Karen M.

He is also survived by his sisters, Janie Williams and husband Ed, Virginia A. Richards, Mollie Talbert; grandchildren, Kristen, Zachary, Sarah, Cory, Lori and five great-grandchilden.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe T and Ofie F. (McBride); sisters, Patsy Manning, Lorene Dolson, Ofie Mae Prichard and brothers, Marcus Daughtry and Joe Lawrence Daughtry.

After his stint in the Navy, "Buck" began working for Humble Oil (Exxon-Mobil) and was employed by them for 39 years.

In 1959 "Buck" moved to the Charlotte community and married Ollie Louise Orsak. He engaged in farming and ranching up until the time of his death.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Hurley Funeral Home (Pleasanton). Interment will be at 1:45PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas.
