Burial services with honors for Jerry Allen Guillote, 66, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at Friendship United Methodist Church near Davilla. There will also be a memorial service held at a later date in New Jersey.

Mr. Guillote died Thursday, June 15, at his home. He was born April 3, 1946, in Port Arthur. Mr. Guillote grew up in the Tracy community near Rockdale.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967 during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, he lived in New Jersey and Virginia.

Mr. Guillote worked as a manufacturing supervisor for DeLaval Condenser in Florence, New Jersey. In 2008, he moved back to the Tracy community.  He married his wife on May 2, 2009, in Thorndale.

Mr. Guillote was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, deep sea fishing, traveling and spending time near the beach. He was also an avid domino player.

Mr. Guillote was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Guillote. Survivors are his wife, a son, two daughters, one stepdaughter, his mother, six brothers and three grandchildren,
