Bernice C. Housos

Bernice Catherine Housos, age 83 of Atascosa, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008 in San Antonio. Mrs. Housos was the manager/purchasing agent for over 45 years at Bud Jones Restaurant in San Antonio. Her husband George Housos and her parents, George Michael & Mattie Veona Underwood Pittman, brother W.I. Pittman, Jr and sister Mildred Brietzke preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Michael Housos of Lytle; daughters, Valerie and Jim Schoonover of Boerne, and Barbara Phillips of Marble Falls; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2008, from 2:00PM until 9:00PM, at Hurley Funeral Home, Lytle. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 2:00PM, in the Chapel of Hurley Funeral Home, Lytle. Interment will follow in Blackhill Cemetery, Atascosa. Arrangements under the direction of Hurley Funeral Home, Lytle.
