Sophie Marie Hencey

Sophie Marie Hencey Smith Kadenes at age 16. She was born on August 27 1902 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.

She married first Charlie Dixon Smith on October 21 1918 and had six children by him. They were Charles Chester Smith, Aubrey Lamar Smith, Mary Jane Smith, Lacade Duane Smith, Betty Lee Smith and Peggy Joy Smith.

Charlie Smith died November 06 1933 in Legion, Kerr County, Texas. She then married Laurence Manuel Kadenes on October 20 1942 in Boerne, Texas. He died May 18 1952 in San Antonio, Texas.

On May 19 1999 she died in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. Including herself there were 6 generations who were living before she died.

Her parents were William Hency born April 13 1871 in Austin, Travis County, and died May 06 1927 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas and Lizabeth Lee Bell born February 07 1879 in Pearsal, Frio County, Texas and died Aug 14 1957 in San Antonio, Texas. They were married on Sep 13 1957 in San Antonio, Texas. She was their only child.
