Charles C. Smith
Charles C. Smith was born December 18 1919 in San Antonio, Texas.
He married Lillian P. Novian (February 13, 1919 - Nov 06 2000) on Mar 11 1939 in San Antonio. They had one child, Wanda Smith.
He worked for Brown and Root in Houston building ships when the World War II started and won a savings bond for an idea he had.
He decided that he should join the Navy to help his country. He served aboard the USS Tennessee which was hit by a Kamakazee plane. When he died on January 17 1992 he still had parts of schrapnel in his body. After the war he bought a lot and built his own home.
He worked in Sheet and Metal for most of his life. He was a loving, kind, helpful, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
He is buried at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, Texas.
